
API Strategy
Problem
You can have a great product, but it doesn’t mean much if people don’t know it exists. That’s the problem that Voya’s Enrollment Tech Team faced in bringing their API solutions to market. Competitors have marketing resources dedicated to API, which made it difficult for the team, who relied on word of mouth, to compete with. The team lacked the tools to effectively promote Voya’s API capabilities and needed help targeting and informing brokers of Voya’s capabilities.
Solution
In collaboration with the Enrollment Tech team, I designed a brochure to simplify the concept of APIs and make it approachable for a wide audience. A blog post was also developed and launched on the Voya Insights as a partner piece. I leverages these two tactics to launch a social media campaign during the summer to dramatically increase the amount of sales finals the Enrollment Tech team attended year over year.
By promoting the Voya's Workday API Solutions Brochure on social media, I contributed to an increase of 5 times the sales finals attended year over year.
The second tactic that led to a record year of sales finals for the Enrollment Tech Team was the creation and social media promotion of an API article communicating the benefits of APIs.
